Our Church

Our Beginnings

For almost 40 years, there have been Seventh-day Adventists in Barrow. Since our beginnings here we have grown from a few people to a larger community, dedicated to bringing the light of the three angel's messages of Revelation 14 to the North Slope. People of all shapes, sizes, and groups are welcome to join us on our journey to come closer to Jesus, learn about Him, and to share Him with others.

Our church building is located at 1899 Momeganna Street. It may be more recognizable simply as, "the pink house across from the borough building." Each Saturday we meet together at this location and share the Word with one another.

Our Beliefs

The Arctic Adventist church is a Bible-believing, Christian congregation. We believe in the authority of the Bible, and on basing doctrine on the Bible alone. We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Baptism by immersion, and in keeping the seventh-day Sabbath day holy, as the Bible says. We believe in the Church as the Body of Christ with Him as the head, that He gives each baptized Christian a Spiritual Gift to use for helping the work of the church, and that everyone has a place in His church and in His work.

We believe in welcoming all people into God's church, and we would love to get to know you better, too. Everyone is welcome in our services. If you're thinking about visiting but don't know where to start, visit our FAQs page for more information.
